Mustang Advocates Protest Roundup

Wild-horse advocates have organized a protest to be held in downtown Denver on Thursday, January 7. Protesters will assemble at noon in front of Sen. Mark Udall’s office, in an effort to convince the senator to help halt a Bureau of Land Management roundup of wild horses roaming northwestern Nevada’s half-million-acre Calico Mountain Complex. The roundup started December 28. Its cost has been estimated at more than $1.7 million.
