About Ross Hecox

Ross Hecox is a senior editor for Western Horseman. He has worked for the magazine for three years, writing, editing and photographing articles. Ross also handles content for the section Ranchlands, which features ranch-related stories from across the country.

Ross has worked as a writer and photographer since graduating from Texas A&M University in 1997. He started with the Paint Horse Journal, moved on to NCHA’s Cutting Horse Chatter, then served as editor of Performance Horse before coming to Western Horseman.

Ross lives in Weatherford, Texas, with his wife Amye. They own two horses.
